I received an e-mail fom this payday loan advance and was more infuriated than anything that they were insulting my intelligence and honesty as a human being.
I took out a 300$ loan with them 2 years ago, i let them draft the necessary payments for this account until it was paid in full.
That wasn't the case when i received a letter from Amanda Shelton that i was being charged an NSF fee for not paying my final payment. After carefully reviewing my account, i couldn't find the NSF fee, just the last payment. So to avoid being put in collections, i let them take out the payment.
Come a few months later 'MS. SHELTON'advised me that the payment was not receivd and to be paid immediatly, i got so upset i refused, needless to say they took it anyway.
This was the beginning of 2005. I was doing my online banking when i noticed there were two small debits for 9 dollars from them, that were coming out from my account. I added them up and they totaled 36$!! My bank said there was nohing they could do. All i could do is hope they left me alone
In may of this year they debitted my acct. For 39$. My bank credited me and within a few days they did again for 43$. I finally closed my cecking and opened a new one.
I just got an email for me to send my new account information to pay this account for late charges and intrest that have accrued. The sum being between 30-300$. I left MS. Shelton a message to forward proof that th account was till opened and not paid. We shall see what happens.
I would really like to see something being done to put them ot of buisness, so innocent people like us wont get taken adantage of. Any suggestions as to what to do in the meantime? Im just afraid that my job will be contaced, I work in lease maturity.
