I went through a divorce last year. My ex husband started an affair with a woman he worked with. I was a housewife he wouldn't let me work for two years.
When I found out about the affair he made me go back to work so he could leave me and live with this woman. He left me with all our credit card debts. The house we lived in was my fathers my mother let us have it just for paying it off which I did. It was deeded to both of us. My ex told me if I ask for anything he would take the house from me. I couldn't even bring up his behavior in court.
I didn't want to risk losing my fathers house so I had to give in. I was left with all our debts while he walked away scot free.
I don't make a lot of money I was just starting work again. I went from not having to worry about money to haveing to sell everything of value that I had just to try to make ends meet.
I got an email ad from tower and Associates. It was advertising their debt settlement company.
I filled out the form listing my debts and it wasn't long before I got a call from Wanda Grossi of tower and associates. She started telling me how they could have my debts paid off in two years. All I had to do was pay 128.13 a month for two years and once tower received my contract and the money to start I would not be hounded by creditors my debts would be paid and in two years I would be debt free. She also told me if I was not happy with their services for any reason I could cancel my contract and I would get my money back.
Well I sent them my first payment in August and I never got the service they promised. I continued to pay them until April. That is the last payment I sent. I have been hounded by creditors they are reporting to credit bureaus that I have not paid my bills when I have been paying Tower and Associates to do that. One credit card was only 400.00 it could have been paid off now had they done the work I paid them to do but now all my bills are doubled because of latefees and interest charges because of them not receiving any payments.
I told the creditors I had turned over my debts to Tower and Associates they are handling them but the creditors tell me they are doing nothing and they have not heard from them there is nothing from them in the files they have on me.
My credit is ruined. I desperatly need a new car the one I have is on its last legs. My ex took the new vehicle and the best of everything we had. I sent in written notice to Tower that I was canceling my contract and I wanted my money back. Now they are saying all I get back are my debts. I paid those people 1,153.17 to date and they have not paid one cent towards my debts all they have done is ruin my credit and now they refuse to return my money as I was told by Wanda Grossi that I would get back if I was not happy with their services.
She totally lied to me. Jana Briley and everyone else there are liars. They took my money and did not pay a cent towards my debts. I will have to file bankrupcy to get clear from this. When I started with their cpmpany I only owed 4000.00 now with late fees interest and all the other penalties that have been added I owe just under 8000.00.
Thes people will continue to steal from people. I was taken for more money that I can afford. I barely get by now. I couldn't afford to be conned like this. Now I will have to file bankrupcy just so I can get out of the mess they put me in. I thought I was paying muy bills instead I was lining their pockets.
