I had a terrible experience with FCCC in 2004. My questions were never answered, my creditors never received payments, my phone calls and emails were ignored. After being in my contract for only 5 months I cancelled my contract and lost my deposit. I was in just as much debt, had incurred additional late fees and my credit was negativly impacted.
Last week I got a letter and some forms to complete from Charles Amos, Financial Investigator for the Office of the Attorney General Economic Crimes Division in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I spoke to Mr. Amos and asked him why after 2 years was I being asked to complete the forms and submit information to him. He explained to me that his office re-opened an investigation due to receiving numerous complaints from people being ripped off by FCCC.
If you had a negative experience with Family Credit Counseling Corporation I encourage you to get in contact with Mr. Amos. The Office of the Attorney General is at 110 S.E. 6th Street, 9th floor, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33301-5000. Telephone - (954) 712-4600, Fax - (954) 712-4658.
