I have a small sign company with 6 employees with ample capability, footprint, and technology which is currently not reaching it's potential. We are under capitalized and under marketed and running out of time and money.
IPA cold called late one evening while I was still in the office and the very next day, sent a solicitor that, after hearing our plight, could solve all of our problems. After some negotiation and a few calls to the home office in Illinois, the consultation fee was reduced from $950 to $350.00.
The following morning, in came the business analyst, and after three plus hours of talk and more phone calls to the home office, I signed up for 60 hours of "business transformation" at $245.00 plus travel, hotel, and per diem expenses.
The very next morning their are two consultants waiting for me at the entrance to my building. I spent the previous evening investigating IPA and it's founder. Thanks to usacomplaints.com I was prepared to deal with this scam. 6.5 hours of due diligence got me an 8 page boiler plate document with my name and company name inserted in the appropriate places along with an invoice for $7.598.18. I quietly dismissed the two gentlemen with a formal letter of termination that advised them that all other communication would be handled with our attorney.
Thanks again to all who expressed their opinions and experiences in this forum. I would have been many steps closer to bankruptcy and foreclosure without your voices.
