Litton Loan Servicing
Ripoff Does it again then win we lose but I'm free of them but not until I owe $27K for nothing

I too have had an awful experience with Litton Loan Servicing. I was not going to write a report but felt compelled when I did a search and saw how many are out there.

I was able to sell my house, however, after the sale was over and transferred of title, the new owner gets a foreclosure notice from Litton.

I sold my house in Olympia WA, requested a payoff statement in March and never received one. My principle balance on the loan was just over $141,000. To protect myself and buy some time prior to the sale, because of the same tactics everyone else has faced, I filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy because of Litton's bad business behavior. During the bankruptcy Litton submitted a pay-off amount of $149,357.80 to the trustee.

After the sale of the home, I sent Litton a check in the amount of $149,357.80 with paid in full release deed of trust written on the check. I received the check back almost 2 months later that stated Litton only accepts cashiers checks and this time I received the payoff statement. Litton stated that I owed them $162,687.99. The principle balance is $141,452.19, the rest of the balance is their fees, early payoff penalty (which is not on the loan documentsI'm still trying to request the originals). I then sent Litton cashiers check writing paid in full release deed of trust; they said they never received it so they are foreclosing. I have asked Litton for an affidavit stating they did not receive the cashiers' check they have refused to supply one. Now they want $169,887.99 and have continued the foreclosure process.

Since I used a title company they are obligated to pay the $169,887.99 to protect the new owner, so therefore I have made nothing on the sale of the house but owe an additional $27,000 on a promissory note that I will have to payoff over time. So when you think you are done with Litton, you really never are. I did not choose Litton Countrywide Home Loans sold my loan to Litton without notice. Of course.

So Litton's bad practices continue. Litton continues to stay in business which is a shame. I have filed a complaint with the Washington Department of Financial Institutions and they in turn filed a complaint with the Federal Commission. All goes unnoticed. I would be so willing to go forward with a class action law suit against Litton at least put them out of business or at least get them splattered all over the news on their bad practices. Until you have been bitten by Litton you don't know about them. I don't know how the company employees can sleep at night. I know I couldn't.
