I called CBCS to settle an acount with them and was told that i could settle it at 50%, that was on a Thursday. After telling them that i would have to get back with them on this and forward this information over to the mortgage lender, this was ok by the gentleman at CBCS. One week later I called and spoke with Mrs. Williams to have them fax over a pay off letter to the mortgage lender because I was going settle this at the closing on the house, it went to "I would be able to settle the account for 75% of the total."
When I told Mrs. Williams that she should have it noted in the computer system, she said she had no record of even a phone conversation. She then put me on hold and came back and stated i would have to pay the amount in full owed, there is no settlement that can be made on the account. While all of this was going on her supervisor who was to shallow to take over the phone call decided to walk her through the phone conversation. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that they are all busy and someone would call me back.
Well Mrs. Woods (supervisor) called and said that there was nothing she could do. So again I asked to speak to her superior, someone oyther than a supervisor. Of course, I got another supervisor, Mr. Fox and had the same experience and rudeness. He said that it was my word against Mrs. Williams. When I asked him for his managers name and contact information he said he could not give me that. So I told him to give them my name and phone number and have them contact me, he said he wouldn't do that, he would tell them himself and he would also speak to Mrs. Williams.
Keep in mind no one will give you their first name at this company, even when asked. Mrs. Williams obvioulsy if giving false impressions to people by offering them a settlement when no none can be made. I am trying to find find out who I could contact that is high up in the company and cannot find any information on CBCS.
