The Consumer Affairs office for Santa Cruz County, California has received multiple complaints against "Allstate Auto Lending" and a "Bill Wallace".
The company uses a phoney address and is unreachable by phone. After consumers apply for a loan on line, the company asks for social security numbers and other personal financial information in order to provide the loan.
They then ask consumers to Wire Transfer from $1,000 to $3,000 to banks across the country. Once the consumer wires the money, he/she never hears from Allstate again and the loan is never funded. The company advertises that it is a California Corporation and a member of the BBB. Both are untrue.
There is no real company; it is a complete ripoff.
