This is absolutely true. Valentine & Kebartas cant do anything to me about the accusationS I am about to make.
For 7 years bill collectors from Valentine & Kebartas have been stealing money and property from debtors throughout the country.
These collectors would receive an account, wait a day or 2, contact the client and request a settlement (payment less than the balance owed). The client would grant the settlement. The collector wouldnt tell the debtor. The debtor was told to pay the balance. The debtor would be told that payment of balance had to be divided. A certain amount had to be sent to Valentine & Kebartas (the actual settlement amount) and the remaining balance had to sent to "Ellen Mufficci Collections". This was an agency that doesnt exist. The collector made it up and pocketed the money. The bill collector in charge of this scam was never prosecuted. This person is still a bill collector, collecting money. Accessing people's checking accounts and credit card information. Not to mention indentity information.
When a Collection agency recieves an account if automatically applies 25% to 30 % as a collection charge. This is what usually is eliminated for a settlement. This money was embezzeled and the owner, Robert Kebartas, didnt prosecute because he knew this is the tip of the iceberg.
In 2001 I sent a letter to MA Atty General's office describing this.in 2006 I sent a letter to federal, state, local, and county police officers as well as the media informing them of this.
Its possible the amount stolen over 7 years is over $1,000, 000.
Who knows, Robert Kebartas somehow managed to cover the whole thing up. He didnt have anyone to blame this time
