I received a call one evening and was told I qualified for a Visa credit card and all I had to do was have a debit charge of $200.00 toget started.
Now me being stupid I fell for the trick. I contacted Capital Financial numerous times and could never get through to a rep.
Finally got though and I was told by some very rude lady that i would receive a card and a catalog in the mail. When I questioned the catalog she told me it wasn't a visa; I misunderstood.
I repeatedly told her I understand the english language very well and was told otherwise. I told her the company was quick to take my money but not give me what i paid for.
I got transferred to a supervisor who was even nastier. I was told to write a letter and i would get a response in 5-7 days and my refund is questionable.
I asked to speak to someone in the cosumer dept and they told they don't take phone calls; of course they wouldn't since they aren't even real.
Needless to say that lady got an earful from me in not such nice words either. Luckily for me Bank Of America took care of my account.
This is one of the biggest and most embarassing thing I have done. I'm ashamed to say that I got scammed but they didn't get away with it.
