I am another person that has fallen victim of Compass Bank and their procedures. I also am having problems with Compass Bank not posting my direct deposits. I have contacted their customer service department and I have went to my branch to speak to someone in person. Everytime the same old story, it is their policy that all checks & debits clear before deposits. And all three times in the last week I have called their customer service department I am treated like I am a criminal or something they are so rude!!!
I was told maybe I should'nt over draw my account, I was also told to go back to my old bank if they did such a great job... (because I told them how this never happened when I had my Desert Schools account). Since Friday the 7th of July to today July 14th I am out $180 in NSF fee's. Even thought all the purchases that got NSF fee's all were made on the same day that I had direct deposit... How can that be? I can't belive that this is happening to so many people, I hope that my story along with all the others on this site will keep people from falling prey to Compass Bank.
