We recieved a call from a Mr. Paul Hagger who informed me that I had applied for and been approved for a Mastercard with a $5000 Limit and also a VISA with a $5000 Limit and these were both unsecured creditcards and I only had to pay the insurance on the cards.
He asked if I knew that I've been approved since I replied no he asked how much of this I could pay now. So I said $150 to which he replied that, that would be okay that he would give me the seniors citizens discount and the other $150 for the insurance would be applied to the card balance.
He told us to send it through Western Union and our cards would be here bright and early the next morning.
Having been ripped off before by people in Las Vegas we decided to check this out before we did anything we didn't expect anything since he had so much personal information on myself and my wife. However we were quite relieved to not see the name on any reports.
However after a little digging on the area that the Western Union would've sent our money to, we found out that the same scam had been pulled on someone else just under a different name. They had been Paul Sieger, Stefan Schlenker and ours was Paul Hagger. So we thought we would thank the person who wrote the other rip off report and to let anyone else know this new name the scam artist is using.
