I was contacted by a representative of Startup Essentials regarding a home base business opportunity. The first gentleman was a bit high pressure and said that he first needed to check my credit to see if I qualified because they didn't just take everyone since they invested in all the people that signed up. He came back on the line and said I was lucky I passed the credit score check but that still didn't mean I would be approved.
He then transferred me to another guy who talked about "no upfront money" and kept throwing around how they were associated with JP Morgan bank "which showed they were a reputable company" After a long conversation of fast talking, he wanted to fax me papers and me to fax them back. After stating I didn't have a fax, he checked my zip code and gave me the address of a fax facility.
Promised 1st line adv on Goolge and lots of other promises, then came the $133 per mth. I called JP Morgan who said they never heard of them. I could not get in touch with anyone at their company to help me. I sent the laptop back unopened and a canc. Letter, had to close my bank account causing many returned checks. It has been a nightmare. They said they would sue me for breaking a non-canc lease. I'm afraid to open my mail for fear that they will but I could not go along with all of the lies, misrepresentation, fast talking and non support.
