Chase Payment Protector Program
Ripoff

I was foolish I know but i have had my chase card since but I really did not use it much. I had a total of 20 dollars at any given time and I noticed this payment protector program on my first statement as a matter of fact several years ago. (because my balance was not high they were charging me 7 cents here and 8 cents there. Never took care of it)

I remember a couple years ago I had a balance of 60 and I called and canceled the program but magically it was never cancelled. (unfortunatly I do not have dates I called to cancel) Recently however I made a huge balance transfer to Chase and when they charged me 40 dollars on a 5000 dollar balance I took notice.

Get this... I called March 5th and asked them to cancel this service I never applied for. The lady I spoke with said it would be taken care of.
(If you havnt noticed I didn't learn my lesson because...) On May 15th I look at my statement and low and behold not canceled. So I call this place back and ask them what happened. They had no record I called on March 5th. So I tell them, I called through the "dispute department" they have record of me being trans to your department that day. The lady I talked to told me she didnt know why there was no record and that she would reinburse me for the past 2 mo. And request a proof of enrollment.

Now it is June 19th. I call, service has been cancelled, say wheres my reinbursement— no record of the request was enterend in the system. Lady I spoke with does not exist. Told me I enrolled in program when I signed the postcard that came with my Chase card back in 2001. I'm a pack rat, I still have that postcard, not signed, not checked, not turned in. —My advise call chase customer service when you call, go through the dispute department, make sure they take note of the fact you are cancelling with payement protector, then have the dispute department trans you payment protector. Then call 2 days later. They now know my card number well but for fun I use to call twice in one day and then call back the next and no record of me calling was ever taken. If you file a complaint they tell you to complain to Chase but chase is not responsible for third party vendors. I was told by one of the reps that the third party name is Assoicate Group Solutions but no such company exists. I wrote a letter to complaint department at Chase. No response. I don't even know who to complain to.
