I was needing a loan to buy christmas for my kids back in 2004. So i went to hallmark for a loan and i was approved. At the time of the loan i had to list property (items) that i had that would add up to the amount they specified.
So i listed tv's, vcr's ect. Well then i had to give them 5 personal references with numbers and addresses. They said these people would only be contacted if they couldnt reach me. So i agreed. Then i was made to take out and insurance policy with the loan that costed and
extra 305.00 they would not do the loan without the insurance. So needing the money i agreed. So a check was cut to me and i left thinking all would be fine. My payment would be due on the 7th of the following month. Well on the 7th they started calling my house wanting payment. I told them the payment was due today they had no business calling me but they just kept saying they wanted their money. I told them i had already sent in a check and to stop calling. So i hung up the phone. Well to make a long story short they called each and every day 10 times or more until they finally got the check. Then to make matters worse they contacted my references and harrassed them 5 or more times a day. I told them my ref's were not to contacted but they just kept on. They even called my husband at work harrassing him when its my loan. He tells them dont call me at work but they keep calling. The calls continued the duration of the loan until i blocked them from calling. I finally paid them in full and wrote paid in full on the check which they cashed. Now they have added money to the account which they say i owe. And are sending me a statement. And after looking over the contract very close i found out i was being charged an interest of 44.031% this is a ripoff!
