Complaint / Review
Ameriloan - OneClickCash
Ripoff

Back in January, my then girlfriend, now wife, took out a $200 loan from Ameriloan and OneClick cash. She agreed to pay both companies $75 every two weeks on her paydays and that the agreed upon amount was to be transferred electronically. Things went good the first time. After that, things went haywire. Both companies would hit our account 2-3 times a day for amounts in excess of the agreed upon amount. One day, they both hit the account for $200 each. Another time they hit the account for $400 each. And they did this multiple times. The end results were that numerous overage charges were caused by their tactics and caused other checks to bounce which caused even more overage charges and bounced check fees.

For several months, my wife tried calling their phone number without any results. She would get a taped message saying that the offices were closed, despite the fact that it was during normal business hours. After several months, she was finally able to get through to them and got the name and number of a person there and was able to reach an greement with them on repayment of the loans.

I checked with my bank on just what all I and they could do to stop them. It seems that the bank can't do anything since Ameriloan-OneClickCash use multiple electronic signatures and they can't block them by name. I did ask for the paperwork to try to recover some of my money under Federal law and received it after getting the run around at the local branches.

I also talked with the Customer Support Fraud department and asked them about the ocerage charges. They said that the merchant, in this case Ameriloan-OneClickCash, is responsible for all overage charges that they caused. So, when we mail in our payments to them, we will be including the information we were provided and a bill for the 24 overage charges they caused. At $34 a pop, those overage charges do add up. We have also filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and are looking at possibly filing with the FTC since their services don't exactly live up to their claims and are deceptive since it's almost impossible to contact them.

As to their policy of having a place to view the contract with them, my wife was not given any sort of contract or a way to access the contract to view it, as per their web site.
