I have found several scenarios of this scam under different names and phone numbers than the one I was given. Some of the similarities art with First National Credit Group out of MI.
I have found that both Firs National Credit Group and First American Investment Group seem as though they are the same people. The (866) numbers listed for these companies are from and EASYTEL CANADA phone service. The number listed for First American's Wisconsin address has been disconnected and the number for First National has been disconnected as well. I have traced both of these to the Easytel phone service. Also after reading some of the complaints regarding First National I could almost guess the next line this so called loan agent was going to feed me.
Today he actually said he would have accounting call me back and a few minutes later I swear I got a call from the same exact guy just using a different name. Come on now how's it go fool me once shame on me. Who do these people think we are. The gentleman claims to be William Sullivan and the Account manager claims to be Shawn Thomas. These two seem to be one in the same to me. Of course I have gone through the same scenario as many others and today was promised a refund within 12 to 14 days. Yeah I know it won't really come, but I believe if we keep track of these guys we can hunt them down from name to name with these phone numbers. I would encourage anyone who has been through a similar scam to call the 1-866-856-7035 x134 that I was given the gentleman represents himself as Mr. William Sullivan but I can bet you will find him to be the same gentleman you dealt with just under a different name. I also encourage any and everyone never to put a secret test question on their Western Union transfers. Also if unaware Canada has passed legislation that makes it illegal for lenders to require an upfront fee of any kind. Lets stop these people the best we can.
