The first week of april my granddaughter went into the Bank of America branch located on West Elcamino and she had $5000.00 cash and she open a IRA account and when we called because we had not heard from them since and we should have gotten some papers in the mail so when we call the branch they told us they had no account for my granddaughter
My granddaughter have a checking account with that bank for over one and half years and that account should have been on the computer with her other account. The bank manager told us if she didn't have the receipt she could not doing anything but the clerk who did the IRA didn't do what she was suppose to do like tell her about a beneficiary for the account and she didn't tell her about a cashiers check for the $5000.00 that she gave to her in cash, none of these things took place at the time the IRA account was open.
Now we don't know where the receipt is that she gave to my grand daughter at this time they told we are just out of luck because they want a receipt for the amount of $5000.00 that she gave to the clerk. So we know that the clerk has gotten away with stealing $5000.00 and know one is doing anything about it at the bank all they are doing is just saying thing like your grandmother Yvonne told us she came to the bank with you they are calling me a liar because maggie the bank manager ask me was i with shanee and I told her yes I came to the bank with shanee but I told her I didn't go up to the clerks desk with her (shanee) because I stayed in the car with the kids. And she took a atitude with me because she miss understand what I said
We were very up set when we talked to her because we had already talked to a man name John at the IRA department and he gave us the manager of the bank at were the IRA account was made and from that point on every one keep asking us for the receipt and when we said it might be in storage and there is a lot of boxes of papers to go thur and I hope it is in there but I don't know if we will every find it this is a lot of money but there got to be away to tell when we was in the bank thur the camera in the banks right now it hard to believe that the bank clerk stole that money and cleaned her trail she can not get away with this there have got to be something we can do to get my daughters $5000.00 back
These words are true and steadfast and this is the worse thing that have ever happen to my granddaughter she is 4 months pregnant and if really suffering from this whole thing. That was all the money she had on this earth. This is a shame a real shame people can be so evil to steal people money and not have any fear of shame about how dirty and evil this is I guess she thought she was not going to get caught after all she told my granddaughter that day that she could not get the money out of the bank for a whole year. My granddaughter told me that when she came out of the bank back to the car.
I knew something was wrong with that cause you can take money out of a IRA but you have to pay a penaty. This is so sad I can't believe this I hope she get her just do reward so this want happen to anyone else I hope we can fine the receipt but I don't know if we will I am sick with grief. This is to much for me.
