I applied for a payroll advance on the internet. Afew days later I recieved a phone call from a company called credit rewards program.
I was offered a 500 dollar cash advance and also a credit card for online purchaces. I was also told this 500 dollars would be in my account with in 24 hours and there was a one time membership fee of 129.95. I said I did not need the credit card but did need the money. They told me if I didnt want the card then i couldnt have the cash adavnce, they were a package deal.
So I then said well okay but I do not have the money in my account for the fee right now. The guy told me no problem they can post date it to the 21st of march. So when the cash advance is in my account on the 20th I would just have to set aside 129.95 of the 500 dollars to cover the fee. Well I thought okay then that gives me about 400 then.
Well that nexted day I went to the bank to get some of the money because I needed to pay a few things they informed me I was 155 dollars in the negative because I was also charged with a 25 dollar fee from my bank that is not refundable. I asked the bank how could I be in negative I should have 500 dolars that was deposited today. The bank looked for me and showed me that credit plus rewards took out 129.95 and never gave the cash advance.
I came home and called these people and was on hold for over 30 min. Then I was cut off. So I called back again and did the same thing. Well I called again and while I was on hold I wrote them a nasty email well imagine that I got through and someone answered the phone.
When the gentlemen answered I told him what happened and everything the guy told me including promising the 500 dollars and postdating the fee. This guy told me no that is not the way the cash advanced was not garenteed and was not atomatically deposited and they were not suppose to post date anything.
Well then I got mad and started to get loud with this guy because I was told false information and was lied to. I stated that I wanted my money back and I wanted this guy reported. This guy I was talking to said he could not refund my money now. He would cancel the membership and send me a letter I would get in a week and for me to send it back for a refund. Well I never got a letter.
And now my account was debited another 129.95 just a few days ago. I told my bank I did not authrize this and they told me they couldnt do anything at all. I stood there and agrued with them about they are suppose to help protect my account and they are not suppose to just let anyone take my money expecially when i say I did not authrize this. They still looked at me and said they could not do anything about it.
So now I am suffering and back in the negatives because of these people and when I call now I am conected to a rio resources and they say they cancelled it but I will soon find out huh and my money still not refundable including my bank fees.
Do not agree to this this is fraud and it just aint right. I am stumped right now and don't know what to do about getting my money back.
