I had been a customer of this company for years as the took over the mortgage from some other company. I had met an invidual that, unbeknownst to me, ran up thousands on my credit cards within months, which I could not pay, so I decided to call Chase and inquire about refinancing. They were, of course, all too willing to help, but I had to re-finance or risk problems with credit in the future. Within about 2 years, interest rates came down where it was attractive to re-finance again, only to find out that Chase had installed a PRE-PAYMENT PENALTY of $3000. Trying to save money would only cost me more. Absolutely disgusting; don't ever do business with this company.
