On Friday March 17 I received a letter from Boyajian Law Offices stating there is an outstanding indebtedness to a Medical office EMERGENCY PHYS COLUMBIA stating that I have refused or neglected to pay and am in serious default for services totaling $632.00.
I have never received any bill from EMERGENCY PHYS COLUMBIA nor from any insurance company regarding this service. Boyajian Law Offices stated that their client demands payment. They also state that I must make payment to their offices (Boyajian) by credit card and then file a claim after I have paid them. This letter also states that Boyajian can and will report this to any and all credit agencies.
I knew I had no outstanding debts and have always been very diligent about paying bills on time; as I get my three credit report from the three CREDIT BUREAUS, every year for the past 10 years and there is NOT any negative information or past due bills
When I called the contact number provided on the letter to find out what these services were for, they stated they were for emergency room services provided at a local hospital in May. Since I have never been to this hospital, I requested they send me information from the hospital stating what the debt was for and what services were provided. At that point they hung up. The person I spoke to was very rude and unprofessional. When I called back to try and get a name so I had someone to follow-up with, they hung up again.
Instead of calling them again, I put "Boyajian" on Google Search, and the consumer complaints came up and produced a vast amount of negative information on this firm Good thing about 65 complaints. I did not call them any more.
After reading all the complaints, I decided to send the CEASE COMMUNICATION request. Certified mail/return receipt requested and File an FTC complaint online at FTC. Gov
