Ripoff FALSE AD on internet FREE CREDIT REPORT

Since the ad said it was free, I called the phone number to double check and was assured it was free if I called them within 24 hours and requested cancellation of charges. I got the credit reports, called them the next day and was told there would bve no charges.

The next month my Visa bill showed a 24.95 bill to CIC Credit Reports. I called the company and was told the charge was for three reports and only one was free. How could I get 3 reports when I only pressed the one button offered, she said that was my problem. I was angry, threatened to call the BBB, Visa, she said go ahead and the conversation was finished.

I called Visa and they looked into it. A letter came from them a month later stating that they were not able to assist me with transactions of this type

Don't know who I'm angrier at CIC or Visa!
