Cross country bank
Ripoff fraud

Cross Country Bank takes advantage of the people who can least afford to be taken advantage of, money-wise. I have struggled with mental illness for most of my adult life. I want all the good things that the rest of us want, but I made a mess of my finances. Cross country gave me charge card accounts.

They dangle the bait-charge cards to buy the things we want, and they hit us with outrageous charges and fees. They know we are desparate and that we will agree to the most outrageous terms they come up with-because we want the nice things in life, like everyone else.

There is a free 800 number to contact them-but its only 2 free calls a month. They charge about $100 to open the account, they charge annual fees to keep the account each year, want to increase your credit limit? Pay another $100. And its true, if you go over the limit they do let it slide and we do end up with an over the limit fee. Is your payment late? Then expect more fees. They even charge us to make payments by phone! They know we will put up with all of it because we want credit-we live in a world where things are more important than people.

So what do we do about it? Shame on us if we let this continue.
Lets get these things paid off and close our accounts. Thats what America is all about. Pay attention to every detail of the accounts you have with this and any other credit company. Know exactly when you have to get the payment sent, know exactly what your available credit is before you use the card, read every detail on your contract and make sure you understand.

Are you having a hard time paying your monthly debts? Sign up with one of the Comsumer Credit agencies and they will deal with Cross Country for you. Call the Better Business Bureau in your area. Need help to do any of this? Call the Social Services agency in your community-don't give up-ask and ask and ask till you find someone who can help. And last but not least-call the office of the attorney general in your state. You can file a report and they will check to see if Cross Country is engaging in any unfair or illegal practices. Call the town hall in your area and they can help you contact the right people.

Remember-shame on them for taking advantage of the poorest people in the country-but shame on us if we let it continue.
