Blind justice being screwed
If any one was offended it should be the authors of the laws that were meant to protect the citizens who voted for the authors of the laws.
The thing that I speak off is there are no clear cut consumer rights. The giant credit card companies spew out all types of vague, bogus and deceptive offers and then use legal tactics to enforce the above, not to be trusted offers. The following is just some of the tactics used:
Obtain your name from a data base that contains information that will allow them to run your credit
Send you an offer that they (Providian) know they will not HONOR, then make you a counter offer
Hook you in with the promise to adjust the terms after a period of time which allows them to continue getting out rages profit form:
1. HIGH INTEREST
2. IMPROPER POSTING OF PAYMENTS TO YOUR ACCOUNTS
3. ALLOWING OVER THE LIMIT CHARGES TO OCCUR BECAUSE OF COMPOUNDING HIGH INTEREST AND OVER THE LIMIT CHARGES
4. CHANGING THE TERMS BY IMBEDDING THE CHANGES IN WITH OTHER MAIL ADVERTISING
Then after they have raped you financially they sell the accounts to collection agencies in bulk or they turn it over to the in house collectors who have no idea as to how the charges came about!
Then after the years of the card holder paying and holding on to a promise never meant to be kept; you end up with bad credit, bad health, credit turn downs, job offers turned down, higher cost of insurance, and higher cost of credit, which cycles to the entire
U S ECONOMY, and end up in some form of bankruptcy! Which ends up causing inflation because consumers are not able or willing to buy any thing, cars, houses, travel, etc.
We all get screwed by the greed of the heads of un ethical businesses!
What can we do people???
