Misleading ordering systems no refund Double charge by company policy ripoff California

When ordering a credit report from Creditreport.com, one is asked a series of ssecurity questions before being sent a report. If you answer a security question incorretly, you are stopped and given a number to call to proceed.

On most websites when you are stopped when placing an order, your order is not plced; however, on Creditreport.com your order is placed and charged. Your report is not released to you until you call the number and get security clearance.

Here is the problem. The website nor the customer service reps make it clear that the order has already been placed. They just tell you can get your reprot. No confirmation number is given for your order. You have no way of knowing your order has already been placed. A reasonable person would assume the order had not been placed because the website stopped you from going forward in the first place. However, an order has been placed and you have been charged $30.00.

After recieving secutiy clearance, you go back to the website and login to the account you had to set up to beging the ordering process and you are given the choice of ordering a report, viewing a report, or viewing credit monitoring. If one does not believe he has ordered a report, because he was stopped when trying to order it and not given a confirmation number for an order, it is logical that one would hit order report. If a report had already been ordered and you haven't viewed the report you ordered before (because there was no way of knowing you ordered it), Creditreport.com should either not give you the option of ordering a second report, or at least have a pop-up window that says, are you sure you want to place a second order. You have a new credit report waiting that has not been viewed! Or something like that.

Instead they just charge you again, the whole process starts over. Upon calling them for the second time when stopped by the website from moving forward, the customer rep still did not say you have already ordered a report. Only upon pressing for more information did they explain that the report had been ordered twice and that you had been charged $60.00.

Anyway. This is a scam. When I called to make a complaint they said company policy is no refunds. I'm still disputing the double charge and their website design, and I will keep disputing it until my second charge is refunded.
