I totally fell for this scam. My husband is in the elite 1st stryker brigade unit and has fought very hard for our country in more than one recent war. These a-holes called promising the same thing that everyone else has said. Offered 12,500 for free as a government grant, and being in the military and getting calls like this all the time we believed them. They made me answer questions like name address account number on an automated machine. They then took the 49.95 out of my account and sent me a coupon book... I had been told that i would be getting a thousand dollars for groceries but when the package arrived it was a coupon book to order more pre-clipped coupons that i could supposedly use anywhere.
Then nothing happened for a while and then all of a suddon there was 299.95 missing from our bank account. They had taken the money out by making a kind of check, on the place where my signature was supposed to be there was a statement that said "no signature required, authorized by your depositor" and gave a reference nuber. I never would have authorized taking much money out and never did, but they have a recording wich sounds to me like they put it together after i said yes the the 49.95.
They have also refused all requests to acquire a copy of that recording. I have since tried to call them and all i get are the rude indians yelling at me and refusing to help. They will not stand down or give us our money back. We have since closed our bank account but had to say goodbye to our money... There goes christmas. Anyway... Dont fall for it like we did. WE are going to go to JAG (military lawyers) to see about starting a lawsuit. If you are interested or have any more info please contact us. Thanks.
