Attempted to go a mortgage refinance. A rep from Silvercrest Loans contacted me by phone. Using info he said he received off the internet. Advised I was approved for a $130,000 mortgage. I would receive a draft directly deposited to my bank acct. Once I sent them $4667.00 through Western Union. They money was never sent or deposited into my acct.
When I contacted Silvercrest they advised that I would need to send them an additional $4250.00 for closing costs and insurance. They advised that due to low credit this amount was required. Well I sent them this amount because I really needed the loan and figured I would get the money back through the loan.
A couple of days passed and I still did not have my loan as promised. I once again called to see why the funds had not been released. Silvercrest advised that I must send them another $1975.00 for more closing costs. Finally I told them "no" and told them I wanted my money back. They said I would get it back in 14-30 days. They will not direct deposit, fed ex, etc. I still have not got my money back.
I have contacted an attorney, the FBI, and the Dept. Of Banking and Finance in Pennsylvania. The dept has advised that Silvercrest is a fradulant company. The address they use does not exist. Please no one else send any money to Silvercrest Loans. I have learned the hard way. Always go with instinct.
