About 2 years ago i refinanced with a company called Citifinancial Mortgage. Everything was fine till financial situations changed in the house and I fell behind on my payments. My payments are due on the 14th of every month. I was behind 2 payments but I made sure every payment was made before the 14th of the month.
I called them in March when I recieved my income tax to catch up all the payments. Then the next month my payday was just after the 14th and thats when the phone calls started with them telling me I was 2 months behind again. So when I went to send them a payment they would not except it. They told me I would have to make 2 payments in order for them too take it. On July 30 they called and left a message for me to call them before 3 o"clock or else. So I called them back before 3 and ask the guy what was so important. He said he needed me to pay 2 house payments by the first oh August or they would start foreclosure on my home. He said he needed me to do a check by phone that day before 6 o"clock. The total amount was 1101.42 I told that guy I did not have that kind of money and told him I would have the money on the 5th when i got paid. He said that would be too late so I ask why because my payments are due the 14th. He then transfers me to a superviser named Terri so I asked her why cause my payments are due the 14th. She said after you miss one payment your due date is on the 1 of every month.
So I told her I would call her back when I could see what I could come up with. I called back about an hour later after borrowing the money from a friend. Then she told me i was one payment behind. So on September 1 I called to make my payment and was told they need 2 payments because I will be 3 payments behind on September 14th. I got mad and said you people told me my payments were due on the 1 and she said they were due on the 14th. And that would make me 3 payments behind. I told her i have a house payment right now for you and she said she would not take it unless it was 2 payments. Thats when I said this is bull and I think I need a lawyer. So she said she would take the payment only if i post dated a check for the 16th of September. So I did post dated a check for them because I fear I"m gonna lose my house. So now I fear that on the 1 and 14th of October they are gonna want 2 payments or take my house. I can"t keep giving them 2 payments a month Because I only get paid twice a month.
I have to have money to pay my other bills. Someone please help because how can they do that? I am afraid for my home. I am trying to do what they ask but how can you when the dates always change and they call everyday threatening you. I think I need a lawyer to end it.
