Complaint / Review
Debticated
Ripoff

I signed up with Debticated in 2003 to lower monthly payments after taking half of my ex's debt in a Divorce. I was sending over $350 per month. I started getting calls and letters from my creditors towards the end of 2004. They had stated that my accounts were past due by 30,60, and 90 days. My credit was excellent prior to this, as I was only looking for a lower monthly payment on everything.

I have not been able to contact anybody at Debticated. I end up in the 'loop of no contact with a real person' with their automated system. I have since went through my Credit Union to do the same thing, but not before my credit was ruined. This has effected everything from renting a home to a home loan, which I was denied based on the account status from Debticated's mess they put me through.

I WANT A SATISFACTORY RESOLUTION FROM ALL THIS. I am currently in bankruptcy proceedings as I had no other choice. I would like to also add that a home lender views Bankruptcy more favorable over debt consolidation on the consumers behalf. Debticated told me that within a year of being on their program, I would certainly qualify for a home loan. This is completely UNTRUE. I have all my paperwork, reciepts of money orders sent (all on time I might add).

The lawyer handling my bankruptcy said that it wouldn't be worth the pursuit financially, as it would certainly cost more in attorny fees. He saw all my paperwork and agreed I had everything I needed to sue, but told me it wasn't worth it. Is there a class action suit on Debticated? Is there any recourse I can take? What is the complaint process, and who do I complain to? I have read soooo many complaints like mine regarding Debticated, I want to try and put a dent into their operation, help others, and close this scam down!
