Ripoff for $299.95 & then $59.90 for a Phone Call I did NOT get or authorized

A man sounding Asian, called me 8-8-05 saying that I had been AWARDED a $12,500 Grant & that all it would cost me was $29.95 for the Forms & Grants Book which I would get in the Mail in 3-35 Bus. Days & he could take a check-by-phone. AFTER he got the Bank info/numbers, he mentioned that I would have 7 days to look the package over & if I decided not to take the INSURANCE that was part of the deal, he mentioned AFTER he got the Banking numbers, he said I could CANCEL & not be charged $299.95.

I told the man RIGHT THEN that I did NOT want any Insurance, that I had ENOUGH & did NOT want any more & to CANCEL the whole thing. My Bank Acct. Was hit for $299.95 BEFORE I even got the Grants Book/Package which took over 2 weeks to get. I tried calling them SEVERAL times 1-3-4&5 days after the original call & the line was either busy or they would hang up. I even left messages saying I did NOT want any part of their deals, etc. But it did NO good —they do NOT understand the word NO and they respect nothing.

I was in the Hospital when I found out they grabbed the $299.95 out of my Checking Acct. And then, they had the gall to hit my Account for $59.90 more for a Phone Call-I did not authorize or get from them & the number shown of the Bank Report was 800-923-8939. There surely has to be some way to STOP this Outfit & put them OUT OF BUSINESS.
