I have a $1500 loan with these folks. It is 15 months same as cash, and the minimum payment is $45 per month. I've been paying them $300 a month. No statement arrives in the mail this month.
Collection agents begin calling me at work and at home, accusing me of not paying my bills like I should be. They ask me questions about the amount of my last payment... My response: I'm not sure, my husband payed it.
What do they say? How can you not know how much was payed? My response: Isn't there on your machine in front of you?
Let's just say that I'm easy to go on the defensive and a shouting match ensues...
I'm paying the rich guys more than they expect every month for my bed! It's their fault that a statement didn't arrive. What gets me is that a missed payment goes automatically to a nasty, phone-wielding collection agent instead of some kind of letter being sent, or hey, how about another statement???
This company is awful to have dealings with.in fact, in my town, they have two offices, but each office only accepts certain payments on certain loans. Sorry... That's what the smiling people that work there say.
Is this any way to run a national business? To me, it seems that they are expending a lot of time and energy trying to get money out of poor people.
Avoid them and spread the word about their unfair business practices.
