Hello Again. Sometime back I reported the same sureway scam. I was lucky. I smelled it out. But almost not. Lo and behold they called again! I tried to engage on a fact finding mission but only came up with a first name and an 866 number that does not work. Then I told them they were under investigation and "Nana" quickly disengaged the call.
The previous entry did everything right. File a complaint with the FTC and BBB (although the Better BB is pretty much useless) but the one thing I did not tell everyone if you do get scammed is to immediately freeze your account. I apologize for that, I just assumed people would do that. I do not think enough people filed complaints with the FTC. Another step some have taken (including myself is to contact local authorities and congressman. Please help yopurself and others out there by doing these things. Without a grassroots efort no one will help us!!
