I HAD BUILT A HOME IN October and financed it with gmac and made all my payments. Until one day I started receiving my months checks back stating it was the incorrect amount. But it was the same amount that I had been sending for over 9 months and I called gmac to discuss the problem. They first told me it was because I owed city taxes.
Well I don't live in the city so we got that cleard up. Then they tell me it's because they had made a mistake on my escrow. But nothing had changed. Neither my property taxes or my insurance and I owed all the way back until day one which was several thousands of dollars and I ask them who made the mistake and they said they did. But I was the one who was going to have to pay for it.
So I told them that I was going to the local bank to move my loan and they told me by the time we get off the phone that they was going to put it on my credit report and I wouldn't be able to move it. So the next morning I went to the bank and sure enough it was on my credit report and the bank couldn't do anything.
So I hired and attorney and paid them several thousands of dollars. But they started foreclosure in feb and until this day 04-17-05 they have not answered my question why my house note went up 284.00 a month. I have never received any answers on anything, just a lot of grief and unhappy living.
