Majestic Benefits (claim They're W / MasterCard) DECEITFUL, RIP-OFF! Identity & credit card scam, caller id shows as "unknown number" alameda

In the beginning of March, I received a phone call from a "credit card company" called MAJESTIC BENEFITS. According to the "representative" I had spoken to, (JACK NORRIS) I was guaranteed an UNSECURED CREDIT CARD for $5,000 (as long as I paid a ONE-TIME fee of $299). According to him, I was required to pay the $299 deposit because I was just starting to build my credit and I didn't have a high enough credit score yet.

I told him I had never heard of Majestic Benefits, and he claimed the company was through Mastercard. I then asked him how he got my information and he said it "could have been that I applied for a mastercard online or something." Before going any further he informed me that our conversation would be recorded for safety purposes. "JACK NORRIS" went on to explain that there would be 0% INTEREST for the first 3 months & after that, it would go up (just never above 12% interest). He also claimed I would receive a certain number of BONUS SKY MILES for applying.

"Jack Norris" went on to say that this credit card is purposely issued for "building or rebuilding my credit score, and should not be used irresponsibly... Etc." I agreed to accept and he told me another representative would be giving me a call back to confirm & issue me my confirmation number. Before hanging up I asked for his name once more and also a phone number (b/c on caller ID it shows up as UNKNOWN CALLER); he replied by saying I would receive it from the rep. That would be calling.

About 10 min. Later, another "representative" called. He went through all the info I had given the previous rep. I confirmed that everything was correct, so he asked for my checking acct. #/routing #, and a date to have the $299 withdrawn (I know, it's horrible, I shouldn't have been so naive).

After giving him the withdrawal date, he said I would be receiving my card in approx. 30 days. He told me to hold on the line in order to receive my confirmation number and customer service phone number. An automated recording came on the line & started to give me my confirmation # & the customer service number, but through the middle of it, it hung up!

About two weeks later, I received another call from them (it was a different man). When I told him I had already accepted, but still needed the cust. Service number, he just hung up on me. These people suck! They need to be convicted for fraud... And WE need to be SUPER CAREFUL about who we give our information and money to!
