Ripoff of $299 for a secured credit card

In December I was contacted by the company "Majestic Benefits" and the rep told me I was approved for a credit card with a $5000 credit limit.

I asked "how did you get my number" they replied that I was denied by another credit card and they were able to approve me and help me. I had applied for a Capital One card the week before. It all made sense.

I continued through the application and they told me they needed $299 one-time fee and absolutley no other fees. I needed the card for emergencies that were expensive.

They took my money out three days to early which I never had the money in yet and my bank credited the amount back because of insufficient funds. They told me that they would charge my $25 for insufficient funds. They never took it out.

About two months later when I got my taxes back I noticed they took out $299 from my checking account. I called Majestic and they told me that they keep trying until they get their money. She said I will be sent a package out which will have all the forms needed because they still need a actual paper signature.

I asked more about the card and she told me I had to put money on it. I told her that no one ever told me it was a secured card or anything like that. She told me when I get my packet send it back saying I was mis-represented on the product/service.

Funny thing is I recieved my Capital One card in the mail a few days later. So I was never denied by anyone so this so called card contract would be void because they lied to me.

I had not recieved anything so I called them back. A man answered the phone and told me that they have the recorded message saying I agree to all of the terms. I told him that I was never told that it was secured.

He got really rude with me and told me to call back on Thursdays to listen to the confirmation over the phone. I told him about the first lady and he said he shows that I have never called. I asked how do you know I have not given you any information.

He said " We have something called Caller-ID " this made me furious. For one they took my money, second the rep is very rude and snotty. I got a little upset with him. He then hung up on me. I called back and got the same rep and he told me that I am not getting back my money and hung up on me.

I called again and asked to speak with a manager and he told me the manager was out. I asked when he will be back and he said he does not know. I asked for the mangers name and direct number but he would not give me any information. He hung up on me again.

I blocked my number and called back. I finally got someone else. I told her the situation and she told me I would get the package on March 14th (It is now the 16th) and I can send it back in but every applicant is different so I may get no, some, or all of my money.

I am really confused on what to do any feedback would be great.
