I got a call from Majestic Benefits on February 23rd saying that I was approved on a 5,000 spending limit credit card. I was so thrilled that I was approved because normally I didnt qualify for a unsecured credit card.
They said that all I would pay is a one-time $299 processing a fee that includes a big savings package, and a $1000 spending spree. I thought at the time the idea was great because they promised it would repair my credit so I gave them my Checking information.
I recently recieved the package on the 17th of March and it was totally not what I ordered.instead it was a stored value card with a maximum storage limit of 2,500 that I have to pay $39.95 to process.
If I would have known it was a stored value card I would not have ordered it. It also had a bunch of flyers from other companies and a coupon for a free 1,000 shopping spree that you have to pay money for the products.
When I called this morning to ask for a refund because the material was not what I ordered a female representative said to call back on Wednesday so I can listen to a recorded message, which ironically is the 30 day mark. So I called back and ask them why I needed to call back then to get a refund and some guy representative said I am not entitled to a refund because I recieved a package.
I offered to return the package and he said that I am still not going to get a refund and to call back on Wednesday to hear the recorded message. I suggest to people who are reading this message to not give up your checking information to Majestic Benefits regardles of your credit, because they are a big fraud and will take your money.
