My husband entered into a lease with these ripoffs in 2000. He only had the cc machine for a few months and was totally dissatisfied with it. It did not work properly and he wanted out. He called several times and they were of no help in resolving his issue. He did send the machine back to the company. After being harrassed for a couple years, my husband was dealing with Eric Weider from Northern Leasing, they had talked about settling for about half monies owed and agreed on it. Eric never called us back or sent anything by mail. We also could not get in touch with them.
Now they have been calling again and may I say they are always very rude. My husband then agreed to enter into making monthly payments which he started in Feb. We then get a judgement from the state of NY in March. Eric never did tell my husband that his making payments would not stop legal proceedings. Today I called Eric Weider myself to better understand what is going on. He told me that in order to stop the judgement they would need 25% of the balance whis is $600 minus the $80 we had already given them so $520. He wanted it overnighted or for us to give him a cc number (I dont think so!) I questioned him about the balance owed since I had to different balances in front of me. He got very rude and then I got upset, but that does not excuse him for his behavior. He actually said to me " you are a real winner". At that point I told him my attorney would be calling him and hung up on him. He then proceeded to call my husband at work and was very very rude and told him that he doesnt want any money from him and that he would be taking the judgement into full effect and put a lein on our property. This company is not professional at all in their dealings with the public. I wish that everyone that has been ripped off by them could get something going to sue and or harrass them.
