Complaint / Review
Lexington Law Firm
False Inducement, Bogus Claims, Shoddy Work

I hired "Lexington Law Firm" to help me with some 6-7 year old items on my credit bureau. They are a law firm based in Utah. When you hire a law firm you expect to be represented by an Attorney. Such is not the case with these guys. Their whole selling point is that they are a "law firm." Forget it, you deal with so-called "paralegals" and guess what, they employ the smae tactics you can do yourself. What is worse, they impersonate you in dealings with the credit bureau!

In addition, they write poorly written letters and sometimes don't even mail them to the right address. I got a letter they wrote returned to me because they were impersonating me and they sent it to a bad address for the credit bureau. The letters they do send do not fool the bureaus. I got a letter from TransUnion saying that "credit clinics" are regulated and some are under investigation. I had not even contacted TransUnion, but the letter Lexington sent impersonating me was apparently one they use for everybody and TransUnion immediately saw it as a bogus letter.

You cannot sue these guys due to the arbitration clause in the contract and that is OK. I believe in arbitration anyway. But I am filing a complaint with the BBB, the Utah Bar, the Texas Bar, and the AGs of both Texas and Utah if I do not get a refund of all but the $79 "File Set Up" fee.
