I was checking my bank account online and noticed a charge for $9.95 from this company which I have never heard of. After I did a little digging, I found out that they had taken over accounts from Clear Credit.
I'm not sure if I was ever a member of Clear Credit, but I was able to log into My Perfect Credit and noticed that all my account information like my address and phone numbers were over a year old. I knew I ordered a credit report a long time ago and it was probably through Clear Credit, but I know I cancelled it.
I think what has happened is that when My Perfect Credit took over Clear Credit, they got all their accounts, and then somehow re-instated everyones accounts; even those like me whom had cancelled over a year ago.
I called My Perfect Credit and spoke to customer service. The lady told me that she had been getting quite a few reports of the same problem I was having and that I was going to recieve an e-mail from them with directions to cancel and to ask for a refund to my account. I am still waiting on that e-mail. Hopefully I'll get it in a few days.
