I had been out of work due to an injury back in July-October. I fell behind on my monthly payments. My home had been scheduled to be auctioned off on October 29. Litton was nice enough (ha-ha) to offer me a forebearance agreement. I spoke with a Mrs. KGRE from the loan default dept. She told me to send her $3,000.00 and sign and have the agreement notarized. My wife and I had it notarized and signed it ourselves. I sent the money via Western Union Quick collect and mailed the agreement immediatly.in the contract it clearly stated that my first monthly payment was not due until Dec. 1st. So, I sent my payment on Dec 1st via quick collect. About a week or so later we received a letter from Western Union stating that our payment had been refused. Litton is telling me that my first payment was due on Nov. 1st.
Now, my home is scheduled to be auctioned off on Jan. 7th. I have called this company on many occasions pointing out their mistake. It is pretty messed up that not one single person in the company can find a copy of my forebearance agreement. This company is a major joke. They are what I consider, stealing my home by breaking their contract.
