I received in the mail at my home address a collection notice from NCO Financial Systems Inc., addressed to my ex-wife. We have been divorced for over three years. She has never been a resident of my current address or even lived in this state. This is causing problems with my current wife and I don't blame her. How did they ever connect me to my ex-wife in this debt?
I want to know and I am going to pursue this all the way to the courts if I have to. I want answers and I will contact them tomorrow.
This is very upsetting to my family. I will start by filing a complaint to the FCC which regulates and enforces the Fair Debt Collection Act. Next I will file a complaint with the Pennsylvania States Attorney's office. I will also file a complaint with the alleged creditor in an effort to make NCO lose this customer. I want this information and I wont stop until I get it. You see, this is not my debt.
I have lots of time on my hands. I will do whatever it takes to stop this kind of business practice. It would be in their best interest to cooperate fully.
I will give you updates as they develope.
