Like many others on this report, I received a call in early November from Fundamental Consumer Strategies claiming they were a company that could help me to rebuild my credit. They offered me a Master Card claiming they were an independent company who dealt directly with Master Card. They offered me a card with a limit up to $2,300 with no annual fees. They said it would be a one time set up fee of $299 that would be taken out of my account by automatic transaction. This was taken out of my account on 11/8 but to date there has been no further contact from Fundamental Consumer Strategies.
The check that was procressed against my account was made out to AIG, Ltd. The phone number that was listed on the check for the company that processed the check is 866-581-5774. They claimed that Fundamental Consumer Strategies is very difficult to get in touch with and they sent them an e-mail to have a "refund processed."
This was not taken out by ACH, the company ended up drafting a check which makes it very difficult to reverse and my bank, "Bank of America, " is not cooperative in such cases. I followed the advise that is on this consumer complaints but the bank refuses to help. Any further advise would be appreciated.
