I bought my first groupon deal, a tasting menu at vertigo restaurant in Manchester UK. The 'sample' menu looked exciting, interesting and worth the money - a good deal. The reality was boring, cheap and bland. The worst meal out in ages. At a supposedly tasting menu we had leek and potato soup, and roast chicken. The chicken was barely warm, everything was bland. I am really disappointed. The only saving grace was the service - the waitress was probably embarrassed to be serving the food so was very attentive!
