I went to Ulta for their new straitening system. First problem: while the stylist was doing my hair she asked the manager for more product because she was running out. The manager told her that she can only give her a little because there was other clients coming in to get the same treatment and she didn’t want to run out (like I wasn’t a paying customer). This product has the worst order and I was told that you can wash your hair immediately after, which I could not wait to do to get the smell out. Second problem: The stylist told me that the cost would be $129 instead I paid a total of $179. Third problem: When my hair was finished it was in worst condition than when I walked through the door. All of the shine had completely left my hair, the roots of my hair were very frizzed, and my hair had an excessive amount of volume due to the frizz.
I told the stylist that I did not want any volume. She told me I would have to pay an extra $10 to have my hair flat ironed because all of her previous customers were blow dried and they were fine. I was also told that it was not their fault that my hair came out the way that it did. They informed me that I should get a relaxer if I wanted my hair straight. I informed them that I was growing out the relaxer that I had and it makes no sense. Another stylist was sent over to help with the afro they created and was unable to do much of anything to my hair because she needed oil due to the excessive dryness. I was told that there was nothing they can do for me but give me a store credit for the amount of the treatment that I can use for salon services at a later date. Salon manager had the worst attitude. Why would I ever step foot in an Ulta again?
I only went there because I received an email that stated the treatment was on sale for a few days.
