I have been getting color highlights from the same stylist for about 5 years without issue. However, on my last visit to a Toni & Guy corporate salon, a young woman presented me with a clip board and a release form to fill out regarding possible reactions to the color chemicals. She informed me that this form was something they request from "older clients."
She made this statement in front of many other people nearby and was clearly audible.
I tried to reply light heartedly, but the incident was embarrassing and hurtful. It is inappropriate and highly offensive to be singled out as an older client.in some situations, it's even illegal.
