I called this Palm Beach office to check on prices to get a Mystic tan before a cruise in March. I was told that the price for one Mystic Tan would be $30 dollars, but I could have three for $45. I was also told that I had a 6 month period to get the three tans, which was important to me since I rarely went places where I needed a tan. When I went to the location the next day and purchased the the tan package, I was THEN told that I had to have my tans in a THREE month period. The young man selling me the package appologized for his error at the time. My first tan was uneventful, but after two months I went back for my second tan and was told that it would cost an additional $5 for the tan. Evidently, I could only have the lightest tan without any additional charge. I disputed this, since it was not mentioned on the front end when I paid, and got a dark tan with no additional charge. The manager claimes I was told, but I know that to be false. I keep up with my money very carefully. Plus, why didn't she charge me the extra $5 on my first tan. Check the records and you will see that she didn't. All the mamager could say is "Well, this is the way we do it, so if you want to tan it will be an extra $5." I am hoping that my husband will look into this as a possible class action lawsuit. There seem to be many complaints of this sort floating around. The people at the front desk tell you anything to get you to buy, then they casually start in with the extra charges that they supposedly told you about.
