I had the same problem with them. They charged me $206.05 and I just paid the amount in full for something I've never used. They sent me to collection agency and denied any records of my membership discontinuation from a year prior. Their customer service was very rude and threaten to hang up. She didn't want to help and basically said, it's my fault. It's in the contract blah blah blah. She must be deaf because I told her that it was discontinued 13 MONTHS ago. They kept on charging to account when credit card was declined. I moved address and they claim that they sent my bills to old address, how convenient. Oddly enough, Club Fitness sent bills to old adress, but the collection agency sent letter to my CURRENT address, of which I read on the same day it arrives in the mail. Why the address difference? Hmm, i smell a big fat lie coming out of CF's stinky mouth.
The bills that was sent is supposedly ones I never used because my service was already discontinued by then! But how do I know when I actually never received them? Customer Support told me: it's not our fault that you don't open your emails or mails, we sent the notices to you! Really? I did not receive mails, nor email notice. Watch out for Melissa x7005. Even though that I know I'm not supposed to be held responsible for this charge, I paid it anyways because I don't want my credit score ruined. And of course they know this, and that's why they play the game. Club Fitness makes me sick and I highly discourage everybody I know from going there. The teachers are good people but the corporate is crooked, it's disgusting.
Go ahead and take my money. If they really have to screw so many people over to fatten up their own wallets, then I feel sorry for them. All the bad deeds will come back to them in the end. I have reported them to BBB as well as usacomplaints.com. I didn't ask for a refund but want to make sure that my voice is heard by other customers. Trust me, it's no use asking for your money back. Read BBB reports and you'll see that all the responses are: "CF is right and you're wrong. Goodbye!" I suggest all of you do them same. The more bad reviews, the more negative attention they will get. Hopefully they will get audited and stop screwing their customers or go bankrupt. They totally deserve it!
