The time to figure out that a breeder's operation is a "puppy m! Ll", and they engage in poor breeding practices is prior to buying a puppy from them. Too many people don't realize this, and end up with a diseased dog, high vet bills and heartache.
Many breeders don't give refunds, so it is even more important to realize that getting involved is probably irreversible. When you agree to buy a puppy, you are committed. Once attached to that puppy, you won't want to return it, and even if you do you may be out the vet bills and have to take another puppy from the same breeder.
