Dishonest & Disorganized

My boyfriend and I signed up for Directv in December. We had no need to switch our tv & internet service but the sales rep at Best Buy seemed helpful, friendly and was offering a great deal. Our entire experience has been nothing but chaotic, disorganized and misleading. Following the installation we were told to submit our rebate online. The system would not allow us to do so. After 3 phone calls to different representatives the rebate finally got submitted, we were told we'd see it on our bill in 6-8 weeks and that the system hadn't been processing the rebates well for awhile. Ok whatever it got figured out. The following month when we received our bill it was not one but two separate bills to two separate companies due at different times of the month. How very inconvenient. That fact that Century Link is actually not a part of Directv and that we would have to do everything twice was also conveniently left out of the conversations regarding our new service. Again we dealt with the inconvenience. Today, was the last straw. The lease on our new apartment started last week and I called to get our directv service moved. I was informed that it would cost $107, even though the sales rep guaranteed us that it would be a free, no hassle procedure to move when we signed up for Directv. The customer service reps I talked to both claimed that the sales rep must have lied to us, because it's only free to move after the first year of service. We knew we would be moving in 3 months of activating our service and made sure to ask all kinds of questions upfront. We were mislead by the sales rep and informed we were SOL by the customer service reps. I tried repeatedly to talk to a manager or supervisor and was told they were busy and would not be able to tell me anything different. Obviously we would have waited to sign up for a directv package after moving if we knew we'd have to pay over 2 months worth of service fees just to move to a new apartment. I am so dissatisfied with this whole experience that I am honestly considering paying the $400 cancellation fee just to be free of the misleading, dishonest and unprofessional level of service I have received from Directv over the past 3 months. I'm frustrated by our lack of options and feel I have been taken advantage of by Directv.
