I hate DirectTV! Everything about them! They get you with the first 3 months of "free" movie channels, in which you have to call and cancel or they will charge you for them.instead why can't they just switch it off, and if you choose you can call and restart them. Families are very busy and have plenty other things to keep track of. So when I called to stop the movie channels, the guy was very rude to me. Maybe this has worked in the past for them with their customers, however; I'm not going to be bullied into paying for something I don't want. The movies played are largely repeats and aren't that good anyway. Plus, in my world sex doesn't sell! After this, I was at Costco and was approached by a Directv rep. I told him I have it and hate it! He informed me that on channel 1000 was the video on demand that I could watch up to 7000 movies for free! Not the case, you have to pay for them just as you would if ordering from the PPV channels. Which brings me to another issue, when ordering a movie you have to watch it when they have it scheduled and it's not always at convenient times. If I'm paying for a movie and it's referred to as "on demand" I should be able to start it when it's a good time for me! Cox the cable company has it set up this way (can't wait for my contract to be over)! I do not ever recommend this company, EVER!
