Extra Space penalizes people who pay & keep their belongings stored for more than 9-12 months. After having space #d50 @ the Rosamond, CA facility since March, the rate was increased without notification. Upon calling the office at that location, I was told by Kimberly, Asst. Mgr., that Extra Space regularly raises rates every 9-12 months. Considering the fact that is does not cost the company any more to operate, this comes across as a penalty for being a long time customer. As a result of what I consider to be an abhorrent business practice, today I have given notice and will no longer be doing business with this company. Also, I will not recommend this company and will go out of my way to warn people of the scheduled increases that long time customers can expect, with no additional services being provided. Also, Kimberly's glib responses and fake concern were extremely unappreciated. When I told her I would be moving out, her response was "Wonderful!". However, I must say she is indeed correct, it will be wonderful to stop giving this corporation my hard earned money each month! Adios, Extra Space!
